FAQ
Questions, answered.
QHow do I make one?
From a template: pick one and add a photo. Freestyle: choose up to 20 photos, draw a short line inside what you want to keep, then mix cutouts and full photos on the page. You can add text and drawings, too.
QHow do I fix an imperfect cutout?
Use Add to keep a missing region and Remove to exclude an unwanted match. Erase is best for tiny leftover pixels. Switch Narrow / Standard / Wide to adjust the edge, and zoom in to compare with the original photo before you finish.
QWhat does Outline do?
It keeps the area inside your loop. If a cutout is already selected, it removes what falls outside the loop. Combine it with Add, Remove, and Erase.
QHow do layers work?
In the material tray, the left item is in front and the right item is behind. Hold and drag an item to change the order.
QWhere is my work saved?
Your current draft is saved on your iPhone. Save finished cards to Photos, or share them from the iOS share sheet. Deleting the app can remove a draft you haven’t exported, so export anything you want to keep.
QHow many can I make for free?
Your first 3 different cards are free to make and export. Re-exporting one of them doesn’t use another free card. Exporting a 4th requires a one-time in-app purchase. There’s no subscription.
QWill my cards have a watermark?
No. Your free cards and everything after your purchase export without watermarks or logos.
QAre my photos uploaded?
Subject isolation runs on your iPhone. Scraps doesn’t operate a server to process or store your photos or cards. Where you share and how you use iCloud follow your own actions and settings.
QRestoring purchases and refunds
The price appears in the app and on Apple’s purchase screen. If a purchase isn’t working, try Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account you bought with. If a purchase is slow to respond, close the screen and wait instead of tapping Buy again. For refunds, use Apple’s refund request process; eligibility follows Apple’s terms and applicable law.
QThe app feels slow. What should I try?
Close other memory-heavy apps, reopen Scraps, and try again with fewer photos. If one image keeps failing, note your iPhone model, iOS version, the tool you used, and the step where it stopped, then contact support.
